Getting Started Guide

Where to Start

This guide is designed for administrators who are ready to set up mobile device management with KACE® Cloud Mobile Device Manager (KACE® Cloud MDM).

After an admin has established portal access, there are a few baseline tasks that we recommend completing in a particular order. Once logged in to the portal, an admin should link their Google Managed Play Organization for Android with KACE Cloud MDM. After this step, an admin can create user accounts, enroll devices, set up default policies, then create optional configurations. Once these tasks are completed, we recommend getting familiar with the Admin Guide.

Link Google Managed Play Organization

Linking your Managed Google Play Organization with KACE Cloud MDM is a prerequisite for enabling Android enrollment and Android app management. Link Google Managed Play Organization.

Create User Accounts

Set up Device Users
To allow new users to enroll devices, you'll need to set up user accounts for them. Note that a user must have the Device User role assigned in order to enroll a device. Create a New User Account.

Set up Device Admins
Admin roles can be assigned during account creation or after a user has an established account. For additional information on managing user roles, see Role Management.
